Battle of the Brats

The UArizona Food Product and Safety Lab competed in the Battle of the Brats at the national American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) Meetings in Albuquerque, NM, on July 17, 2023. Their entry, Smokin’ Pepper Cheddar Brat, won first place against the other 9 competing universities. This is the first time the UArizona has participated in the brat contest. Look for this National Champion sausage and other great products at the Wildcat Country Market when the newly renovated Food Product and Safety Lab opens in 2024.
