Salvador's research in developing models to predict how pathogens travel across the landscape by incorporating animal species specific transmission characteristics has taken her around the globe.

The BIO5 Institute’s annual KEYS program is one of Arizona’s premier training programs for high school students interested in developing STEM skills. During the summer of 2023, Ravishankar and her team,  mentored and worked with KEYS Research Intern, Nyreek Thompson, from Palo Verde High Magnet School.
