Applied Animal Behavior students visit community partners

Students in the ACBS Vet Sci Applied Animal Behavior Emphasis - Companion Animal began their Spring semester with thre field trips to vist community partners which included the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and Burro Program, 4Ropin Ranch, and Equine Voices Rescue and Sanctuary.

2021 Global Symposium on Racing a resounding success

April 11, 2022

The Race Track Industry Program (RTIP) hosted the 47th Annual Global Symposium on Racing at Loews Ventana Canyon from December 5 – December 7, 2021. The event, which had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, is a principal funding source for the RTIP. Given its importance to both the racing industry and to the RTIP, incoming Program Chair, Robert Hartman, saw this event as critical for successfully kickstarting his tenure as the leader of this storied program.

Bend the curve: hand sanitizer distribution

Nov. 3, 2021

Betsy Greene coordinated and delivered multiple cases of hand sanitizer from the ACBS “Bend the Curve” project to Native American communities across Arizona. The “Bend the Curve” project produced hand sanitizer for Arizona health care workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic when hand sanitizer was scarce to impossible to obtain.
