About the Plant Pathology and Microbiology Emphasis
In the Plant Pathology and Microbiology emphasis, you will explore how microbes influence plant health and disease and how microbiology can be used to address challenges in agriculture and biotechnology. Emphasis coursework is paired with hands-on laboratory experience, research and internship opportunities, so you can apply your learning to real-world scenarios.
This program prepares you for careers in plant health and disease diagnostics, agricultural and industrial biotechnology, microbial ecology and research, or for graduate study leading to careers in academia, extension and applied biological sciences.
